Problem: You have faith in God, but don’t have many rational arguments or historical evidences or ideas to back up your faith in Him.
Paul Little starts Know Why You Believe by answering the basic question: Is Christianity Rationale? He then goes on to provide philosophical, historical and scientific evidence to support basic Christian beliefs. He also provides answers for some difficult philosophical issues such as “Why does God allow suffering and evil?” and “Do science and scripture conflict?”
After reading this book, your faith will be strengthened because it will have facts supporting it. You will be able to use your mind better in providing a defense for your faith. Finally, you will be more capable in analyzing arguments against Christianity.
Audience: New Christians or Christians who have never read any books that logically defend the Christian faith.
Related Books: After reading Know Why You Believe you may want to read a more advanced book such as Evidence that Demands a Verdict, and philosophical books such as Reason to Believe and Reason Enough.

Evidence that Demands a Verdict is an excellent, exhaustive, reference book that provides detailed rationale and evidence that supports foundational aspects of the Christian faith. Section One supports the Bible. It discusses the Bible’s uniqueness, how it was prepared and how extraordinarily reliable it is.
Section Two supports the statements that Jesus was indeed God and rose from the dead. Jesus’ historicity, logical arguments, fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and evidence for the resurrection are all presented. Section Three details how God has worked in history. It also tells how God has affected human lives, providing dramatic change for many.
This book is written in detailed outline form. Because of this, it is easy to find information in it. Also, high school and college students can easily use it to write papers discussing various aspects of their faith.
